You’ve got questions ~ we’ve got answers!
When does the course start?
You’ll receive your first email on Sunday January 19th, with links to materials for the module and Latisha’s herbcrafting video. The first live video class on Zoom takes place on Wednesday January 22nd at 5:30 PM Pacific time. You can check for your own time zone here.
Do I have to be present for the live video classes?
No; I know that life gets busy, and the timing is very late for our friends in the UK and Europe! And very early for those in Asia and Australia! It’s always lovely when you can be there live, but each teaching call will be recorded, and you will have access to the video recording within 24 hours.
How much time will the course take each week?
Can I keep the materials after the course is over?
Yes, they are yours to download and keep forever, including the videos. Your access to the classroom will end 6 months after the last module. Until then you will have access to everything. (Please don’t share them with anyone who did not enroll in the class. Thank you.)
I’ve never used Zoom before. Is it hard?
Not at all. It’s very user-friendly! You will have access to the classroom FAQ’s and how-to videos. Shari our Support Goddess is also available to help as needed.
Do I have to create a Zoom account to attend the classes?
No. You will be prompted to download the Zoom software, once you have clicked on the link that we email to you each week. You can choose to download the software and you may wish to create an account, but it’s not required. You can attend via your computer browser, or use your phone or tablet.
Can I join the live class on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Just download the Zoom app and follow the instructions.
What do I need to take the course?
A computer or mobile device that will give you access to Zoom, and that will play videos from our private classroom; the ability to download PDFs (you can download Adobe Reader for free here), an open heart, and a desire to set out on an herbcrafting journey.
I want to take the course but won’t have time for it right now. Is there a way to participate later on?
All the materials for the course will be available for 6 months, through June 2020. You can also download all the materials to your own hard drive for your own personal use and keep them forever. The live Facebook group will be open through June 2020. I may teach the course again in 2021, but I’m not yet certain of it.
I don’t like Facebook. Is there any other way to connect with others taking the course?
Sadly, no. I’ve tried many different forums and message boards in the past, and while I know that Facebook is not perfect, it seems to be the platform that most people choose to use.
Why three different prices?
Do you offer scholarships?
No, not at this time.
Do you offer refunds?
We’ll offer a refund anytime during the first two weeks of the course. Please send us a note to let us know why it isn’t resonating with you.
How does the payment plan work?
It’s a two-part payment plan. The first payment is made the day you register and the second payment automatically comes out of your account 30 days later. It can be set up with a Visa or MasterCard (credit or debit), or through PayPal. If you need help with this, please contact my assistant Shari the Web Goddess at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I share my login info with a friend?
We respectfully ask that you do not. We’ve put a lot of time, energy, and heart into creating this course, and we support ourselves with the proceeds from it. We appreciate your respect and your understanding on this. We do, however, encourage you to make all these teachings your own, to honor the lineage of teachers, and to share what you’ve learned with others out of your own experience.
Do you donate any of the proceeds from the course to worthy causes?
Yes. There are a number of organizations we support, including United Plant Savers, with their mission to protect endangered native medicinal plants, and RAICES, an organization that provides legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees in Texas. We regularly make private donations to individuals and groups that work in alignment with our values of social and environmental justice.
