Ssh. It’s quiet time. Pour yourself a cup of steaming, fragrant tea. Light a candle. Close your eyes. Hush.
What do you hear, in the space between the fall of a leaf and the blooming of a rose?
Soft, seductive silence.
Ssssh. Your soul is calling you: Take time for reflection, personal creative expression, silence and stillness.
Let me pull you down into the depths.
I’ve taught my popular “30 Day” seasonal courses via email for the past several years. Hundreds of people have enjoyed journaling each day to the prompts, and/or taking photos and making art, letting their creative spirits shine. Now each seasonal course is available as a PDF booklet, so you can continue the practice at your own pace.
Based on the Wheel of the Year, the year is divided into eight seasons or “tides” that begin with the holy days (holidays). If you’re not familiar with the Wheel of the Year, you can read more about it here.
Each “30 Day” booklet is designed to begin a week or two before the holy-day when the energy of the season peaks. Some of the booklets highlight a specific Goddess of the season, like Brigid, Persephone, or Hecate.
Every day for 30 days, you’ll find beautiful photos, artwork, quotes, journal prompts and art / photo prompts in the booklet. Sometimes there will be tarot spreads and nature practices too.
These prompts will guide you gently into becoming more present and alert to the deeper, hidden messages of the current season, festivals, and holy-day.
How it works:
- You begin (or end) each day by reading the daily prompts in the booklet.
- You respond to the prompts in the privacy of your own journal. I encourage you to set your timer for 5-10 minutes, and free-write in response to the journal prompt. Some days you won’t have time, and that’s OK. Other days you’ll write more.
- You may choose to pick up your camera or smart phone, and take a photo in response to the photo/art prompt. Or you may want to sketch or make art in an art journal or other medium.
- You are welcome to share on social media using seasonal hashtags like #30DaysofYule or #30DaysofHarvest.
