For the last six months, I’ve been slowly re-visioning, redesigning, and renewing my home here on the web, Gaian Soul. Today I am very happy to unveil her! Please grab a cup of tea (or ice-cold mint water), and settle in to explore the new site. (Yes, I know it’s Mercury Retrograde, but since I am re-launching, not launching the site for the first time, I think all will be well.)
I’ve been supported in this revision by some outrageously wild and lovely women. The wisewoman Hiro Boga taught me how to connect with my Business Deva, and be guided by my innermost promptings, when making decisions for my business.
Abby Kerr helped me to get very clear about my online voice values. She and her associates in the Voice Bureau wrote a few pages of copy that are so brilliant and so me, they make me weep. Carolyn Cushing came up with the phrase “Everyday Mystics” to use in the tagline, which I adore.
Elaine Nichols captured my heart’s essence in her sensitive photographs that enhance the site (and she fed me yummy gluten-free, vegan food too!) Shari Smith, my Amazing Virtual Assistant and Tech Goddess Without Whom Life Would Be Much Harder, rescued me every time the WordPress theme Thesis 2 made me want to tear out my hair. Theresa Reed, my ally in all things entrepreneurial, cheered me on every step of the way and gave me great feedback. My deepest thanks to you all!
If you already subscribe to my Gaian Tarot / Gaian Soul newsletter, you’ll be receiving one soon that includes a download link to my new Gaian Soul Credo for Everyday Mystics, Healers, & Creatives. It’s a clear statement of the beliefs, intentions, and motives that I’ve developed over a lifetime of cultivating a deeper connection with nature and my own spiritual practice. It might even serve as model for you to create your own.
In the newsletter, you’ll also receive an invitation to sign up for my new free e-course, 22 Days of Tarot Sparks: Creative Practices to Make You Shine! Each day’s email is inspired by one of the 22 major tarot cards, and includes a journaling prompt as well as a short, soulful, creative practice, often nature-based.
If you don’t already receive my newsletter, why not sign up today? Just drop your name and email address into the box on the top of the right-hand column, or on this page. You’ll be able to download the Credo immediately, and start the e-course.
You may have noticed that my new tagline proclaims: “Earth-Centered Practices for Everyday Mystics, Healers, and Creatives.” If you’re a fan of the Gaian Tarot, and you’re wondering where the tarot fits into all of this, I can tell you that I consider the Gaian Tarot to be one of my key earth-centered, spiritual practices. As I said before, it’s an intrinsic part of who I am and what I have to offer the world. But it’s not all that I am, and not all that I have to offer. So this new site reflects my wider range of interests, that always circle around these values: love for nature, love for the Sacred Feminine, love for the mystical arts, love for community.
I am still not back up to full speed on my work schedule, as I am leaving room to spend time with my friend Nora, who is at end-of-life (but is delightfully surprising us with her resiliency). I have plans to blog more regularly (editorial calendar: check!), and to develop new online courses and in-person workshops for 2014. I am also working on two book-length projects: one is the oracle deck and book I’ve mentioned before. The other is a secret for now. (Ssssh!) And I would love to get my hands messy with paint again.
My Gaian Soul Retreat for September is full again, after a couple of cancellations. The dates for retreats next year are March 13-16 and September 11-14, 2014. If you’d like to be on the early-bird list so you’ll be the first to hear when registration opens up for those, please sign up here. If you already know you plan to be at one or both of them, email me and I’ll put you on a special list!
I’d love to hear what you think of the new site, the Credo, and the Tarot Sparks e-course. You can email me, or comment on Facebook or Twitter. And of course I’d love it if you shared the link to the Gaian Soul on your favorite social media sites. Thank you!
Thanks for being my companion along the way, on this remarkable journey.
