Nature Journal: Signs of Spring in my Backyard

in Wheel of the Year

Budding, leafing, not-quite-blooming . . . signs of spring in my backyard this past week.

(Keeping a nature journal is one of the things we’re doing in Gaian Soul Practices for Spring Equinox / Ostara. We start tomorrow, March 11th! There’s still time to join us.)

Thoughtful, sparkling comments. . .

Joanna thank you for sharing your journal. I just started keeping a nature journal with my son as part of our home school experience. We are loving the process of getting to know the names of the ‘other’ neighbors in our neighborhood!

Dionne, I love it that you are keeping a nature journal with your son! Very cool! One of my favorite books on Nature Journaling is “Keeping a Nature Journal: Discover a Whole New Way of Seeing the World Around You” by Clare Walker Leslie, and there’s some good stuff in there for journaling with kids. You and your son might like it!

PS I am hoping to do some nature journaling with my granddaughter when I go visit her next month. xo
