Earth Wisdom Tarot Sacred Art

Time to Dream, Time to Vision

in Books, Classes & Workshops, Spiritual Practice

Dreams & Visions VideoTake a deep breath. It’s time to drink the last of the eggnog, pack up the ornaments, sweep away the Old Year and make room for the New.

I always spend the week between Solstice and New Year’s (the “Time Out of Time” as my friend Waverly Fitzgerald calls it) reflecting on the year gone by with a Life Review. Then I dream about the year to come, and start making plans and setting goals. I wrote a blog post about my process last year that was so popular that, this year, I turned it into a workbook that you can download. I’m giving it away right here. I hope you find it inspirational and useful!

There will be a few more goodies along those lines I’ll be giving away too. It’s my way of introducing you to the first class I’ll be teaching through my new online “school,” Gaian Soul Learning Grove. The upcoming class is an extended version of one of my most popular in-person workshops called “Empower Your Dreams & Visions with Tarot.” It’s all about manifesting your dreams in a supportive, fun environment. This is the class that got the most “votes” in the survey I sent out last month. (Thanks to all of you who responded!) Click here to grab your free copy of the workbook.

Here’s an excerpt from the workbook:

Forget resolutions — go for your dreams instead!

Many self-aware spiritually-inclined people know that resolutions don’t work. Just feel the difference in the energy between these two statements:

I should — I mean I resolve to – lose 30 pounds. (Groan, moan, please, anything but that . . .)

or: I dream of having a healthy, radiant, energetic body.(Yay! Oh boy! Sounds like fun!)

The “shoulds” repel us and the dreams attract us. How simple is that?

What’s your BIG dream? You know the one. It makes your eyes light up when you think about it. It’s the one you’d do if you knew you couldn’t fail. If time and money were no object, you’d do it.

Maybe you have more than one dream. Most of us do. They usually fall into categories like these:

  • Relationships
  • Health
  • Fitness
  • Finances
  • Career
  • Creativity
  • Spiritual Path
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Community
  • Travel
  • Recreation
  • Service
  • Which ones are calling your name?

Write down as many categories and specific dreams as you like. Now winnow them down to the 3 most important dreams, at this time in your life. (Is your BIG dream one of them?)

How does it feel to choose only three dreams to focus on?

If you’re like me, it comes with a big sense of relief. Managing more than three dreams (each with its own vision, goals, projects and action items) leads to overwhelm and its attendant feelings of failure. (Trust me, I know this from experience!)

If you’re having difficulty choosing only three — go into sacred space, get centered in your heart, and choose from there.

(Continued in the Time Out of Time eBook – free to you here.)

    Thoughtful, sparkling comments. . .

I’ve received it! I’m really excited and will start implementing it! I’m filled with so many ideas because of it. It has “awakened” so much for me. I am absolutely a newborn when it comes to tarot, but you have given me some life lines because of it! When I start it, I would like to mentioned it on my blog, with a link back to you and your ebook. May I do that? I want folks to know about this and you! Well, we’re off holding hands and skipping into the future! 🙂
