Explorer of Fire – Gaian Tarot Card of the Week

in Art, Tarot

Exploreroffire  What do we most need to know for the coming week?

Explorer of Fire

Whoosh!  Another Explorer, just like last week.  Only this one is playing with fire. Energy, creativity, passion, all spinning around to create unearthly beauty.

Hmmm . . .  I have to say I have no idea how this card will manifest in my life this coming week.  I’m still partly incapacitated by a lingering cough, and I will be focused on meeting my Llewellyn deadline by turning in the book manuscript and the art files.  I’m also finishing up the book production for the GT Limited Edition companion book.   Not very firey activities . . . Ah, but excitement is firey, isn’t it?  And I’m still quite excited about inching ever so much closer to releasing the deck and book, as well as all the wonderful ideas that came up during my business retreat.   Well it will be fun to see what comes up this week!

Here’s what I wrote about this card for the Gaian Tarot companion book:

When you get this card in a reading . . .

Someone is playing with fire. What fast-paced, high-energy situations are being ignited? Taking risks energizes. This is a chance to entertain and dazzle. Share your enthusiasm and let the sparks fly. Creativity and eroticism can revitalize something that has become stale.

The Explorer inspires others by taking a bold stand.  She is willing to ignore possible danger, moving quickly and fearlessly on important issues that she is passionate about. Be bold! Now is the time to take courageous action.

What does this card say to you, dear Readers?

Thoughtful, sparkling comments. . .

Good card for the week leading up to Imbolc!

I agree about Imbolc. And perhaps the card is offering the fiery energy and adventurous spirit that the lingering cough and pragmatic activities could be discouraging?
I’m poised this week to being putting the results of my end-of-year planning into action so it certainly applies to my days!

I think your book is sharing your enthusiasm. I came to read your blog because I was having a moment of not being able to find my joy. 🙂 Cranky customers and a headache make a bad combination! But I found some joy in the energy and passion of your Fire Explorer. I think I’ll explore my own fires this week. See what needs feeding and what needs banking. Thanks as always, Joanna!
By the way? I saw your Fire Explorer as masculine the first three times I looked. How odd.

Hecate, Tracie, Arwen — I think you are all right. Of course, it has to do with the fire festival of Imbolc so quickly approaching. Tracie, so exciting for you to be putting planning into action — definitely a firey thing to do! Arwen, thanks for the idea of the fire of enthusiasm! 🙂 I am indeed excited about the book.
Hmmm . . . how you could see her as male, I’m not too sure, but whatever works! LOL

Yes, yes I also saw her as male first – I think it is the muscular body. Apart ftom the beautiful Michele Obama, it is unusual to see pictures of physically strong women in this way.
I see this explorer as taking risks she needs to but protecting herself as the same time. Risk with wisdom? It is encouragement for me to extend myself, to take the excitement and joy from new life 🙂
I’m really looking forward to getting the deck, Joanna! It has been a long journey – longer even than my tarot life.
    Many blessings –
