Sing up the Sun

in Island Life, Nature Connection, Summer Solstice

SungreetingMy island sisters and I rose with the dawn chorus this morning to sing up the Solstice sun.  Billowing clouds graced us, unlike last year’s clarity of sky.

A heron perched on an old growth cedar stump just offshore.  An eagle flew in and landed in the Doug fir just above our heads.  Seabirds swam in the distance.  Kingfishers called and robins sang.

We “rested in the grace of the world, and were free.”

Blessed be.

Thoughtful, sparkling comments. . .

I enjoyed the poem that you linked to this morning. “I come into the presence of still water” Very nice.
