30 Days of Midsummer
altar4michele_FotorAh, Summer! It’s time to surrender to sensuality, in this season of ripe peaches and berry juice that dribbles down your chin. It’s time to feel the shock of jumping into cold river water, then soaking up the radiant heat of sun-baked rocks. Mmmm . . . let’s deeply inhale the scent of wild roses and the tang of salt-water breezes.

How do you celebrate Midsummer? Do you dance and drum around a bonfire late into the night, then watch for shooting stars? Do you gather herbs at the peak of their potency on Midsummer Eve, and keep an eye out for the Fair Folk?

Do you toss garlands of flowers into streams as offerings to the Queen of Summer?

Do you cultivate your garden in the noonday heat, watering, mulching and weeding?  Do you prowl your farmers’ market for the freshest fruits and veggies to make luscious picnic feasts?

Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year — is the peak of the sun’s power, even as the Wheel tilts and turns its face toward the slowly growing darkness once again. In Summer, we exult in our own ripening too. We embrace the long days that give us time for both productivity and play.

How will you express your passion this summer? What great brilliance is peaking within you? Come dance, laugh, and play with me!

She rises!Like my other “30 Days” courses, this ecourse is for those who want a daily inspirational touchstone during the season of Midsummer, when the Sun peaks at Summer Solstice.

It’s for those who want to align themselves with the rhythms of nature as you revel in your own ripening, and dance, laugh, and play late into sun-soaked evenings.

By the end of the 30 days, you’ll be reconnected to your own creative core, with a daily practice in place for taking in beauty and responding to it in your journal or with your camera or paintbrush.

Best of all, you will have taken a divine pause each day to mindfully experience the shift in the seasons as the sun reaches the peak of its power on Solstice.

Sound good? I’d love to have you join us.

People are talking . . .

“This was the second time I took the Brigid course. I got so much more out of it this time. Having the Facebook group added such a delicious layer to the prompts. It has been such a wonderful journey to share my own stories and to and bear witness to others’ heartfelt stories. It’s so easy to feel all alone in your struggles, it’s been helpful to hear about others going through similar issues. These groups have brought together a safe nurturing community that I am so glad to participate in.”

“I loved the Spring course, Joanna, as it inspired me first thing every morning. Though many mornings I had to rush to work, it began my day and allowed me to ponder throughout. I did not write as much as I’d hoped to share with you, but the questions ran through my mind and heart through each day and made me smile to get so in touch with the soul and Gaia in that way. Thank you so much for sharing this. Touching and grounding the spirit with the earth is something you are so very gifted with and it is the kind of thing that feeds my soul.”
Marsha Downs

“I really loved this process. I looked forward to sitting down with my journal every morning and spending 10 or 15 minutes exploring my thoughts and feelings via the prompts. I felt complete in the process even after such a short time, and it felt so sacred to pause and to carve out this time for myself. I loved reading the poetry and creating my own — there was no pressure to share, so this felt completely personal to me. I look forward to the next session!”

“Joanna has once again created an accessible portal to Spirit! In 30 Days of Brigid, the many ways of exploring Goddess were distilled into personal relationship. Each day I was invited to ponder, What does Brigid mean to me? How might I invite Her into my life and practice? How do I see Her? Joanna has offered a devotional course that is fresh, simple and profound nourishing a woman’s soul. It feeds the stars.”

“I loved receiving small gifts for 30 days from Joanna and Brigid. Each email was opened. with delight. Some days I was inspired to write. Other days I was inspired to take a photo. There were a few days I just appreciated the time out of time to connect with nature. What a blessing for such a generous price!”
