Gaian Tarot: Healing the Earth, Healing Ourselves
October 23rd, 2010
Raleigh, North Carolina (with Beth Owl’s Daughter)
To practice a Gaian or earth-centered spirituality means to both give and receive spiritual sustenance from Mama Gaia, the natural world. In this workshop, we will learn about the inspiration behind the Gaian Tarot and how it differs from other decks. We will learn spreads and practice readings for our own personal healing and transformation. And we’ll learn to do “wisdom readings” that will guide us into healing the earth.

Connecting with Mama Gaia
October 24th, 2010
Durham, North Carolina (with Beth Owl’s Daughter)
Deepen your relationship with the natural world in the Place where you live. Join us for an intimate circle in the autumn woodlands around Beth Owl’s home. We will spend time both in Sacred Circle and in solo discovery, practicing nature observation techniques and journaling. We’ll also learn a Dance of Life that honors the four directions, and hold a Council of the Elements.

Elemental Energies in the Tarot
Women of Wisdom Community Day
June 12, 2010
Seattle, Washington
Each suit of the Tarot corresponds to one of the four elements: air, fire, water, and earth. Each elements represents a different way of connecting to Spirit or honoring the Great Mystery. We’ll play with Tarot cards in this workshop to discover facets of our personalities as they relate to elemental energy. And we’ll use the cards to discover ways to honor the elements, both symbolically and physically, in our daily lives as well.

Tarot and the Mysteries of Life, Death & Rebirth
Gaia’s Womb
February 26-28, 2010
Racine, Wisconsin
The Tarot has been called a “book of wisdom,” and like other sacred texts it explores the themes of life, death and rebirth. We will examine these in specific cards such as the Moon, Death and Awakening (Judgement) in Joanna’s Gaian deck as well as traditional Tarot decks.
