Cate Kerr’s words and photos never fail to bring me to a place of peace and gratitude. I loved this post in particular.

I’m excited about Barbara Moore’s new book on designing tarot spreads.  She tells us a little bit about her process here. I agree that learning to design your own spreads is a key tool in any tarot reader’s toolbox, and she has a great system for learning how to do it.

And speaking of tarot spreads, Jordan Hoggard of the Land of Mystereum is posting a new spread every day on his blog. I especially like this one on the Inner Weatherperson, perhaps because I am always navigating my own inner weather, and could use a little help.

I had a bright “ah ha!” moment this week when I read this post by Christine Kane on productivity and happiness. My new mantra is now:  “That’s just what I do.”  :-)

And . . .  today we are balancing the energies of the Sun in Aries with the Full Moon in Libra.  Beth and Lynn do a great job of clarifying how we use these energies to balance the needs of the self (Aries) with the needs of others (Libra) in our lives.

A blessed Full Moon to you all!

Morning walk at the lake

Just a few lovelies today, heading into a sunny weekend!

This post makes me want to do nothing but create Spring feasts!  (gluten-free, of course!)

This journal page for Equinox, created by my friend Cari Ferraro, takes my breath away.

My friend Elaine wrote about her mother’s passing, one year later, and made me weep and weep. In a good way.

I want a copy of Food Rules by Michael Pollan, the one illustrated by Maira Kalman.

And this post by Effy Wild on Art as a Seasonal Shift has me grinning, “Yes!! Yes!!!”

Have a lovely weekend, my lovelies!

Happy Friday, lovelies!

This week, these tweaked my brain and/or made me happy.

I loved imagining I was walking this trail to the falls with Julia and Tony down under, as Autumn Equinox approaches in Australia.

I’ve been having a grand time revitalizing my practice of sketch journaling and nature journaling, taking inspiration from this book and this one, and this cool Facebook group.

This video about breaking habits and building new ones is inspiring ~ because, you know, I’m building the habit of going to the Y to work out at least 3 times a week.  Whew.  That’s a big one for me.  This video (and I imagine the book, which I haven’t read yet) set off a few ah-ha! moments for me.

Have a lovely weekend!

*Because Friday is dedicated to the Nordic Goddess of Love & Beauty. And where, after all, would we be, without love & beauty?

Quite a number of yummy things caught my attention this week . . .

Kelly Kingman on “The Revolution will be Visualized.”   As someone who loves both art and words, I have mixed feelings about how our culture is becoming more image-oriented and is moving away from words. But I love her opening line:

I believe that drawing skills will soon rival the importance of reading and writing in our schools.

Kelly calls the shift from words to images a “course-correction,” and links to Dan Roam, who wrote a manifesto about this called The 5000-year History of How We Lost Half Our Minds.

Visual literacy . . . hmm.  No wonder I love Tarot so much!

And speaking of Tarot . . .

There’s a new Tarot review site in town, published by the Tarosophy folks. I was honored to have my own Gaian Tarot featured as its first review last week.  This week, the work of two of my Santa Fe friends are featured:  Jordan Hoggard’s Tarot in the Land of Mystereum, and Lisa St. Croix’s deck-in-progress, the Tarot de St. Croix.

Meanwhile Christine Kane reminded me about Attention Splatter.  I love how she always brings me back to basics, like “no more than three priorities per day.”

Finally, my friend Waverly Fitzgerald, who inspires me and teaches me so much about Living in Season, was inspired by last week’s FreyasDay Link Love post to start her own. Her links this week are all about Plants and People.

Have a grand weekend, lovely Readers!

I took this photo of a prayer flagpole on a stormy day, last weekend at a friend's house.

I love reading Susannah’s and Marianne’s Friday blog posts, where they share links to all kinds of yummy stuff they’ve come across during their week online.

Even though I’m training myself to spend less time online and more time at my art table, I still find lots of inspiring stuff on the web to share.

Here’s what inspired me this week:

This book made my heart stop more than once (in a good way!).  I wrote a review of it for SageWoman magazine, which I’ll share here after it comes out in print. Seriously stunning photographs of contemporary girls and women emulating the Goddess within.

Goddess Leonie on Quitting Perfectionism!  One of my favorite themes.

You Get a Choice.  Mmm-hmmm!

This poem.

Jordan Hoggard’s “Vital Discipline Tarot Spread”, brought to you by the Land of Mystereum’s Family of Twos.  :-)   A spread to help you “sharpen and polish your highest good.”  Oh yeah!

Jason Smalley’s seriously stunning photos and story, “Our Place, Our Land” that he shared on my blog this week. And the most wonderful Barefoot Breathing e-course, starting its Spring session this weekend.

Lisa Hunt asked some of her friends and colleagues (including me!) what success means to them, and gathered up the responses. So much food for thought!

And . . . I’m dreaming of my annual April pilgrimage to New York City and the Readers Studio. Maybe I’ll go see this!

Have a lovely weekend, dear Readers!

*You know the word “Friday” came from the Nordic Goddess of Love & Beauty, Freya, right?  So FreyasDay is a perfect day to share the love.
