in Moments of Grace, Nature, Place, Retreat, Travel

I’ve been on retreat for the last week in Taos, New Mexico.  Even though my body is back here in the luscious Land of Blue & Green, my heart is still on retreat in the Land of Sage & Adobe . . . re-entry is slow.  I’m being kind to myself.  Soon I’ll have stories to tell.

Thoughtful, sparkling comments. . .

I’m looking forward to your stories. Taos is my heart! I hear the orange-red mountainous desert singing to me and I can eat the dry sunshine and smell the colors of it’s sunsets. It truly is a land of enchantment.

The clouds in Taos were the most amazing clouds I’ve ever seen. I could have stared at them forever. Indigene, I love your description. Blessed be.

Oh my goodness, I was in Taos for the very first time in May for a workshop/retreat and I swear that I left a piece of myself there. We stayed at the magical Mabel Dodge Luhan House. It has become a heart home. I can’t wait to get back. I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience there. For me, time felt very different and the veil incredibly thin. *sigh*

Julie, we also stayed at Mabel Dodge, and I agree it is a most magical place. More to come! :-)

I used to live in New Mexico and it seems to me the sky there is a shade of blue you can’t find anywhere else. And the smell, of the piñon pine…. ahhhh.
